Memory support reaches DDR5 8000+ MT/s (OC), USB 20GBps Type-C is on the rear panel, and Wi-Fi 7 plus 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet handle networking. The 14+2+1 power-stage VRM with 80A DrMOS is sized for the highest-core-count Ryzen 9 chips, and an 8+8-pin CPU power input gives the board real overclocking headroom.

Compatibility Note: Confirm AM5 CPU cooler compatibility (most AM4 coolers fit, some require a new bracket) and that your case supports the standard ATX form factor (30.5 × 24.4 cm). PCIe 5.0 on the GPU slot and the primary M.2 slot is only available with Ryzen 9000 or 7000 Series CPUs — Ryzen 8000G APUs run the GPU slot at PCIe 4.0. A BIOS update may be required out of the box for some CPUs; use BIOS FlashBack via USB if no compatible CPU is yet installed.

Does it support Ryzen 9000 Series CPUs out of the box?
Yes. The TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi officially supportsAMD Ryzen 9000, 8000 and 7000 Series processors. Most boards ship with a current BIOS, but if a CPU isn't recognised you can flash the latest BIOS via the BIOS FlashBack button using only a USB stick — no CPU required.
How fast can the M.2 slots and memory go?
With Ryzen 9000 or 7000 the M.2_1 slot runs at PCIe 5.0 x4. M.2_2 and M.2_3 run at PCIe 4.0 x4. Memory supports DDR5 up to 8000+ MT/s (OC) on supported kits, with fullAMD EXPO support. Note that M.2_3 shares bandwidth with the secondary chipset PCIe x16 slot.
