During 1998 season, the 1994 World Rally Champion, Didier Auriol, was still an official Toyota driver. He is now at the wheel of the Corolla WRC. After a mixed start to the season, the Frenchman returned to the Catalan asphalt with great enthusiasm. On the second stage, he set the fastest time and took first place overall. A position he would not relinquish until the finish! It was Auriols first victory with the Corolla WRC. A year marked by themed liveries on the official Corollas, which change according to the events on the calendar.
