When administered correctly based on your dog or cat's weight, Schesir Wild Fish Oil provides approximately 50-300 milligrams of linoleic acid, the essential Omega-6 fatty acid. On the one hand, linoleic acid is essential for your pet because it cannot be produced by its metabolism; on the other hand, large amounts of unbalanced Omega-6 fatty acids have been shown to cause a higher risk of inflammatory disorders, arthritis, joint stiffness and weak immune system. The most rapidly metabolizable Omega-3s come from cold-water fish such as salmon.
The numerous tests carried out demonstrate that the oil extracted from wild salmon and cod caught in Alaskan waters has a very high Omega 3/6 ratio (9-10), three times higher than the oils obtained from farmed salmon. This report is like a fingerprint, unambiguously revealing the origin of any salmon oil, including those sold as “wild,” but actually sourced from farmed salmon.
