Because it uses DisplayLink, it delivers true dual external displays even on MacBook Air and Pro with M1, M2, M3 and M4 chips, which normally support only one. It has a built-in 55cm host cable. Compatibility & setup
Video runs over DisplayLink (DL-6950 chipset), so a free one-time DisplayLink driver install is required on Windows or macOS. In return it drives dual 4K 3840x2160 at 60Hz across its two HDMI ouTPUts, including full dual extended displays on Apple Silicon MacBooks (M1/M2/M3/M4) — something standard USB-C docks cannot do on a Mac. It also works on Windows, ChromeOS, Ubuntu and Android. The 100W Power Delivery pass-through requires a separate USB-C charger (not included): roughly 18W runs the adapter, leaving up to 82W for the laptop; the dock can also run bus-powered without charging.
