Compatibility & display setup
Video runs over DisplayLink (DL-6950 chipset), so a free one-time DisplayLink driver install is needed. In return it supports dual 4K 3840x2160 at 60Hz (or a single 5K display) across Windows, macOS, Ubuntu/Linux, Chrome and Android — including full dual-monitor ouTPUt on Macs, which standard USB-C MST docks cannot do. It connects to USB-C laptops with the detachable host cable, and to USB-A laptops using the included tethered adapter (video still works over DisplayLink).
