Compatibility — please read before buying
To run more than one SSD, your motherboard must support PCIe bifurcation (splitting the x16 slot into x4/x4/x4/x4), or run an Intel VROC /AMD Ryzen Threadripper platform. On boards without bifurcation only the first drive is detected. The card accepts M.2 NVMe (PCIe) SSDs only — not M.2 SATA, and SSDs are sold separately. Fits PCIe x16 (and x8) slots.

Will the Hyper M.2 X16 Card V2 work with my motherboard?
It fits any PCIe x16 (or x8) slot, but to use more than one SSD the board must support PCIe bifurcation into x4/x4/x4/x4, or be an Intel VROC /AMD Threadripper platform. Check your motherboard manual for a "PCIe bifurcation" or "RAID on CPU" option.
Does it support M.2 SATA SSDs?
No. The card is NVMe (PCIe) only. M.2 SATA drives are not supported.
Are SSDs included?
No, the card is supplied without drives. You add up to four M.2 NVMe SSDs (2242 to 22110) separately.
This is PCIe 3.0 — do I need PCIe 4.0?
For PCIe 3.0 NVMe drives this card gives full speed. If you run PCIe 4.0 SSDs and want maximum throughput on a PCIe 4.0 board, choose the Hyper M.2 X16 Gen 4 card instead.
