Compatibility & Power
The EAP723 is powered by 802.3at (PoE+) from a compatible PoE+ switch or injector, or by a 12V/1.5A DC adapter - neither injector nor DC adapter is included. Its single 2.5G Ethernet port auto-negotiates up to 2.5GBps, giving multi-gig headroom. It is a dual-band Wi-Fi 7 unit (2.4/5 GHz) - it does not use the 6 GHz band, but it still brings Wi-Fi 7 features such as Multi-Link Operation and 4K-QAM to those bands for higher efficiency. Centralised control uses an Omada controller (hardware, software or cloud), or it can run standalone via the Omada app.

No - it is a dual-band Wi-Fi 7 access point on 2.4 and 5 GHz. It still brings Wi-Fi 7 features such as Multi-Link Operation and 4K-QAM to those bands, but if you need the 6 GHz band, choose a tri-band model like the EAP772.
What makes the EAP723 Wi-Fi 7 if it has no 6 GHz?
Wi-Fi 7 is more than 6 GHz: the EAP723 supports Multi-Link Operation (bonding 2.4 and 5 GHz), 4K-QAM and improved OFDMA, so compatible clients get higher throughput and lower latency than on Wi-Fi 6.
What switch does the EAP723 need?
A 2.5G Multi-Gig PoE+ port is ideal - its single port auto-negotiates up to 2.5GBps and PoE+ (802.3at) powers it; a 12V DC adapter is an alternative. A PoE switch/injector or DC adapter is not included.
