The Ubiquiti UniFi U7-LR (part number U7-LR) is a WiFi 7 ceiling-mount access point engineered for extended coverage across large rooms and open spaces. With 5 spatial streams across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands it delivers combined throughput of up to 4.9GBps and supports 300+ concurrent clients, while high-efficiency antennas push the signal further than standard APs. A 2.5GBE PoE uplink keeps wiring simple, and centralised management through UniFi makes it ideal for offices, warehouses, hospitality and homes. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Setup & Compatibility
The U7-LR is managed through the UniFi platform (a UniFi Cloud Gateway, Cloud Key or self-hosted UniFi Network controller). It is PoE-powered over its 2.5GBE port and needs a PoE+ (802.3at) source — not included. We recommend powering it from a UniFi PoE switch (for example the USW-Lite-8-PoE, which supplies 802.3at) or a standalone 802.3at PoE+ injector such as the Ubiquiti U-POE-AT. Note: this model operates on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz only and does not have a 6 GHz radio, so it does not use the WiFi 6E/7 6 GHz band. It remains backward compatible with WiFi 6/6E and earlier client devices.

The U7-LR is the long-range option in the UniFi WiFi 7 line-up: its high-gain antennas cover more area per unit, so you can blanket a large floor with fewer APs. The trade-off is no 6 GHz band — if you specifically want WiFi 7’s 6 GHz spectrum, a U7 Pro is the alternative; for the widest coverage on 2.4/5 GHz, the U7-LR is hard to beat. It slots straight into a UniFi network alongside other access points for seamless roaming. Remember to budget for power: a UniFi PoE switch such as the USW-Lite-8-PoE, or a standalone 802.3at PoE+ injector, will run it.
