QNAP TS-932PX — 9-Bay Dual 10GBE SFP+ NAS

Dual 10GBE SFP+ Onboard9 Bays (5x 3.5in + 4x 2.5in)ARM Quad-CoreSSD-Tiering Ready

The QNAP TS-932PX-4G (EAN 4713213517963) is a compact nine-bay desktop NAS with a quad-core ARM processor and, unusually for its size, two onboard 10GBE SFP+ ports plus dual 2.5-Gigabit Ethernet. Its layout of five 3.5" bays plus four dedicated 2.5" bays is ideal for mixing high-capacity HDDs with fast SSDs for tiering. It ships diskless with 4GB of DDR4 (expandable to 16GB) for high-throughput, multi-user storage. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.

Before you buy — SFP+ 10GBE & mixed bays
Drives are not included. Install up to five 3.5"/2.5" SATA drives in the large bays plus up to four 2.5" SATA SSDs/HDDs in the dedicated small bays. The two 10-gigabit ports are SFP+ (fibre or DAC), not RJ-45 10GBASE-T — transceivers or DAC cables required. This is an ARM model: no HDMI, no Virtualization Station, and no M.2 or PCIe expansion. Memory uses a single SO-DIMM slot (replace to upgrade, max 16GB). Volumes support Single, JBOD and RAID 0/1/5/6/10/50/60.

Best For

SSD + HDD storage tiering
High-throughput 10GBE workflows
Multi-user file sharing
Video & media production storage
Centralised backups (3-2-1)
Surveillance recording (QVR)

Key Features

Dual 10GBE SFP+ Onboard
Two 10GBE SFP+ ports plus dual 2.5GBE deliver exceptional aggregate bandwidth for demanding multi-user transfers — without an add-in card.

9-Bay Mixed Layout
Five 3.5" bays for bulk HDD capacity and four dedicated 2.5" bays for SSDs make SSD caching or tiering easy in one compact chassis.

Compact High-Density Storage
Nine drives in a small desktop footprint scale to large raw capacity with RAID 0/1/5/6/10/50/60 protection under QTS.

Efficient ARM Platform
A quad-core ARM CPU with hardware encryption keeps storage, backup and surveillance responsive at modest power draw.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the 10GBE ports RJ-45 or SFP+?
They are 10GBE SFP+ ports (two of them). You need SFP+ transceivers (fibre) or DAC cables to use them — standard RJ-45 10GBASE-T does not plug in directly.
What is the bay layout?
It has nine bays: five 3.5"/2.5" SATA bays for high-capacity drives and four dedicated 2.5" bays that are ideal for SSDs (for caching or a fast tier).
Can it run virtual machines or ouTPUt video?
No. As an ARM-based NAS it has no HDMI and does not support Virtualization Station. It is managed over the network through QTS.
What is the difference between the TS-932PX and the TS-632X?
The TS-932PX adds four dedicated 2.5" SSD bays (nine total) for tiering; the TS-632X is a straight six-bay. Both offer dual 10GBE SFP+ and are ARM-based.
Singular Expert Insight
The TS-932PX is a clever bit of packaging: nine bays with dual 10GBE SFP+ in a compact box, and the split of five 3.5" plus four 2.5" bays makes SSD tiering straightforward. As an ARM unit it is a storage-and-throughput specialist rather than an apps/VM host, and 10GBE is SFP+ so plan for transceivers. Fill the large bays with NAS-rated hard drives and the small bays with SSDs. Want x86 and HDMI? Look at a TS-664; for a straight six-bay 10GBE, the TS-632X.

Buyer's Guide

Buy it if
You want nine bays with dual 10GBE SFP+ and dedicated 2.5in SSD bays for high-throughput storage with SSD tiering.
Skip it if
You need RJ-45 10GBASE-T, HDMI, virtualization or M.2/PCIe expansion — an x86 model suits better.
Also consider
The 6-bay QNAP TS-632X (dual 10GBE SFP+), or the x86 TS-664 for HDMI and virtualization.
