The UniFi UAP-XG is a high-capacity 802.11ac Wave 2 access point engineered for stadiums, arenas, auditoriums and other very high-density venues. It packs a quad-radio design — 4×4 on 2.4 GHz plus dual 4×4 5 GHz radios — alongside a dedicated security radio that continuously scans the RF environment for threats without stealing airtime from clients. Rated for 1500+ concurrent connections, it terminates on a 10G SFP+ uplink (with a secondary Gigabit RJ-45) so the wired side can keep pace with aggregate wireless demand. It is centrally managed through the UniFi Network application and powered by the included UniFi PoE adapter.
Deployment note: The UAP-XG uses a 10G SFP+ uplink and is powered by the included UniFi PoE adapter (not standard 802.3af/at). Plan fibre or 10G copper backhaul, and manage it via the UniFi Network application.
Best For
✓Stadiums, arenas and large auditoriums
✓Conference centres and lecture halls with heavy client counts
✓Very high-density venues needing 1500+ concurrent clients
✓Sites with 10G fibre or copper backhaul available
✓Deployments wanting a dedicated RF security-scanning radio
✓UniFi networks managed centrally at scale
Key Features
Quad-Radio 4×4 Design
A 4×4 2.4 GHz radio plus dual 4×4 5 GHz radios maximise capacity and throughput for crowds of simultaneous users.
Dedicated Security Radio
A separate radio continuously monitors the spectrum for rogue APs and threats without consuming client airtime.
10G SFP+ Uplink
A 10 Gigabit SFP+ port (plus a Gigabit RJ-45) ensures the wired backhaul isn't a bottleneck at peak demand.
High-Density Ready
Rated for 1500+ concurrent connections, it is purpose-built for the most crowded indoor environments.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the UAP-XG designed for?
Very high-density environments — stadiums, arenas, auditoriums and conference centres — where 1500+ clients connect at once and standard APs run out of capacity.
What is the dedicated security radio?
A separate radio that continuously scans the wireless spectrum for rogue access points and threats, without taking airtime away from serving clients.
How is it powered and connected?
It uses a 10G SFP+ uplink (with a secondary Gigabit RJ-45) and is powered by the included UniFi PoE adapter rather than standard 802.3af/at.
How is it managed?
Centrally through the UniFi Network application, alongside other UniFi devices on the same network.

Buyer's Guide
Buy it if…
You run a very high-density venue and need quad-radio capacity, a security radio and 10G SFP+ backhaul.
Skip it if…
You want Wi-Fi 6/6E/7, the 6 GHz band or standard 802.3at PoE — this is a Wave 2 unit with an adapter-based power design.
Also consider…
A newer Wi-Fi 7 high-density AP (e.g. U7 Pro XGS) if you need 6 GHz and 802.3bt PoE.
