The TP-Link Omada EAP787 is a top-tier Wi-Fi 7 ceiling access point delivering BE12000 tri-band performance across 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz with eight spatial streams. Wi-Fi 7 technologies — 320 MHz channels, 4K-QAM and Multi-Link Operation (MLO) — combine bands for dramatically higher throughput and lower latency. A 10 Gigabit uplink with PoE++ (802.3bt) removes the wired bottleneck of older APs, so a single unit can serve dense, high-bandwidth environments. It is centrally managed by Omada SDN — cloud, controller or standalone — for zero-touch provisioning and unified control across the whole network.
Deployment note: The 10G uplink needs a PoE++ (802.3bt) source — use an Omada 10G PoE++ switch or an 802.3bt injector. The 6 GHz band and full Wi-Fi 7 speeds require Wi-Fi 6E/7 client devices.
